November 2006

November has been an amazing month for me, it seems that birds have been happy to pose for me wherever I've gone.
Things started well with an incredibly showy little auk at Snettisham, to be so close to a bird you normally only see over the sea was a real pleasure.

 

Mid-month I spent a few days away near Burton and popped into Cannock Chase for a few hours, what an amazing place it is...

 

 

Back in Norfolk a trip to the harbour at Wells proved very productive with both red-throated diver and shag showing very well.

 

Adding a splash of colour...

 

I had a real treat on the 30th in the form of a showy great northern diver, just a shame the light wasn't better...
