September 2008
Appologies for the lack of diary recently but it's been a very busy year. I'll try and fill in some gaps in the next few weeks, including a report from my first ever trip to the Farnes.
September was a great month for me, it got off to a slow start but half way through the month it all kicked off. Migrants were everywhere and I finally managed to get some shots of redstarts.
Then came an unusual flycatcher at Waxham, it generated a lot of discussion but the ID will probably never be know.
Following a week of trying and failing to get to Landguard to for a showy dotterel I jammed in on one at Cley.
The month ended well with an unusually showy Blyth's reed warbler and a nice juv woodchat shrike.
