Welcome to Blue Sky Birds

Welcome to Blue Sky Birds - this website contains many bird photos that I have taken over the last couple of years. My aim is to build up a catalogue of photos covering the majority of the species regularly found in the UK, currently there are 176 species of bird featured. These photos can be accessed either using the alphabetical or systematic list of species.

The website is regularly updated with new species and new photos being added as often as possible. The diary is update monthly and will allow me to tell you about my favourite birds and photos.

Latest species added are hawfinch, ring-billed gull, grey phalarope, white-crowned sparrow and desert wheatear.

I'm pleased to say that I have recently won the Birdguides Photo of the Year 2007 with this photo of a pair of stone curlew and a rabbit.

All photos on the website are available to buy, either as prints or as digital files.
